“Meanwhile, my soul has been whispering to me, asking for reflective time. For quiet time. The polite whispers have turned into rebellious shouts as my soul has upped the ante to get my attention.”
This is such a deep piece. I wonder if you come back to this need for reflective time and what you do when the noise is too loud.
Claire - here you are again :) I come to this need for reflective time more and more. I turn 59 this year and it seems as I get older, my need for quiet, for solitude, for time to connect with my surroundings in the absence of noise, or language, grows stronger and stronger. With teenage kids, I haven't carved out a proactive set of practices to nurture this need.
Thank you for asking the question, and returning it to my awareness - where I can do something with it.
I'm on my way back from Hawaii and look forward to digging into your pieces. Thank you for your patience.
